Geske Dijkistra

Geske Dijkstra is an Emeritus Professor of “Governance and Global Development” at Erasmus University Rotterdam, where she has spent over 26 years in teaching, research, and advisory roles. As a development economist with nearly 30 years of experience, her expertise spans international development, global governance, aid effectiveness, and the impact of public policies on economic growth and poverty reduction. Her research primarily focuses on Sub-Saharan Africa and Latin America.

She has earned recognition as a leading authority in sociogical analysis, population studies, gender and development issues and social policy in Nigeria.
